• According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, the Tehran–Ho Chi Minh City–Tehran air route was inaugurated on Sunday evening, August 30, 2026, at Terminal 1 of Imam Khomeini Airport City, in the presence of Captain Ramin Kashefazar, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company, and senior officials from Mahan Air, with the aim of expanding the international flight network and strengthening Iran’s air connectivity with Southeast Asian countries.
• The launch of this route is part of efforts to expand the international destinations served by Imam Khomeini Airport City and provide passengers with greater access to destinations across Southeast Asia.
• The launch of these air routes will strengthen air connectivity between Iran and Vietnam while creating opportunities to expand tourism, economic and commercial relations between the two countries. According to the plans, flights from Imam Khomeini Airport City to Vietnam will operate not only to Ho Chi Minh City, but also to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, on a regular seasonal basis.
