The process of leaving the animal from the country is done by passengers in the check-in hall. After the animals are picked up from the passengers, they enter the airport quarantine unit and enter the plane after necessary investigating checks. The Regulation of entrance of the animal as a passenger companion to the country
- An animal is considered a passenger companion if it enters the country through the airport passenger hall.
- An animal with a passenger (to enter the country) means only dogs and cats. The entry of other animals such as reptiles, aquatic animals, ornamental birds, etc. as a passenger companion is prohibited.
Required Documents for the release of the animal of passenger companion from the veterinary quarantine
- Provide the original and copy of the first page of the passport as well as the page that is sealed by the passport police.
- The passenger name and the micro chit number of the animal must be the same in the international health certificate issued by the country of origin and the animal health certificate.
- Provide the original and copy of the animal health certificate with the name of the passenger. Provide the microchip number of the animal and the details of rabies and multiple inoculation vaccines (not more than one year has passed since the date of vaccination).
- provide the original international health certificate issued (in English) by the Governmental Veterinarian Organization of the country of origin (foreign country) with the passenger name, animal microchip number, and date of issue (no more than seven days have passed from the date of issuance of the above certificate).
