Importing seeds, sapling, transplants, roots, seedlings and seeds of plants and generally any plants and plant parts into the country requires obtaining a previous license from the Ministry of Agriculture- Jahad.

Plants and plant parts that enter the country without the prior permission of the Plant Protection Organization of the Ministry of Agriculture and Plant Health Certificate, as gifts in the form of postal packages or by passengers, if they are not illegal items and are for non-commercial and personal use, clearance will be done with the notification and examination of the quarantine officer. If such products are contaminated with pests and plant disorders, they will be acted according to Article 12 of this regulation.
The entry of any fertile soil, pots soil, clay, and sand alone or with plant parts to prevent the entry of pests in the soil such as insect pupa, snails, nematodes, fungi, bacteria, etc. is prohibited. Except in scientific research cases and Industrial at the discretion of the Plant Protection Organization.
Plants and crops that are licensed to one of the customs centers and determined due to contamination with pests and quarantine diseases are not available for clearance. If at the discretion of the Ministry of Agriculture, the pest is disinfected- disinfected will be done at the expense of their owners- then allowed to be cleared. Otherwise, the Plant Protection Organization will warn the owners of the goods to take them out of the country within the specified time. If the goods do not leave the country after written notice from the Plant Protection Organization and within the specified time, they will be annihilated by the organization without compensation.
