An MoU on launching the Tehran Logistics City was signed between Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC) and the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways.
With the development of this logistics city within the IKAC area, Iran will gain the capacity to become one of the major regional hubs for trade, distribution and cargo transit. The project provides essential physical and service infrastructures such as postal, insurance, banking and logistics facilities - creating an ideal platform for third-party logistics companies to operate and grow.
The signing ceremony was attended by Ramin Kashef-Azar, CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City, and Jabbar Ali Zakeri, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways.
According to the memorandum, the Tehran Logistics City will be developed as the first integrated logistics hub in the country, directly connected to air, rail and road networks. This national project is expected to enhance Iran’s position in the regional and international supply chain by promoting multimodal transport, reducing logistics costs and improving transit efficiency. 
A joint working group between IKAC and Iran Railways will carry out technical and economic feasibility studies and prepare a detailed implementation schedule for the project.
The Tehran Logistics City, as a strategic initiative within IKAC’s Free Zone, will pave the way for the creation of a modern logistics ecosystem and attract both domestic and foreign investment to the area.
