🔹 According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, a specialized flight inspection of the MSSR radar system at Imam Khomeini International Airport was successfully conducted to assess and evaluate the system’s performance.
🔹 Ali Mostafavi, Deputy for Air Navigation Operations at Imam Khomeini International Airport, stated that the flight inspection was carried out as planned to assess the performance of the MSSR radar system. He added that the system’s performance was successfully verified and confirmed in accordance with the applicable criteria and standards.
🔹 He added that verification of the system’s performance will enable the provision of safe and reliable radar coverage services within the heavily trafficked Tehran TMA airspace, as well as part of the country’s airspace within the Tehran Control area, playing an important role in enhancing aviation safety and air traffic management.
🔹 Mostafavi identified increased air traffic acceptance and management capacity, enhanced system stability and reliability, improved flight safety and reduced Air Traffic Control (ATC) workload among the strategic benefits of operating the system.
🔹 The Deputy for Air Navigation Operations at Imam Khomeini International Airport further stated that the specialized flight inspection was conducted using the second strategic flight-check aircraft, a King Air, during which the radar system’s performance was evaluated based on technical and operational parameters.
