•    According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, as reported by Tasnim News Agency, Ehsan Batebi, Board Member of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company, stated during a meeting to review the tourism potential of Pakdasht County that a closer understanding of the county’s potential reveals numerous opportunities for cooperation between Pakdasht and Imam Khomeini Airport City.
•    He added that, to date, Pakdasht has primarily been a transit route for many travelers, while its economic, tourism and production capacities could transform the county into a tourism destination. He emphasized the need for planning to introduce and promote these capacities. 
•    Referring to the position of Imam Khomeini Airport City, Batebi stated that the Airport City is far more than just a passenger terminal and alongside its transportation functions, has capacities in the economic, logistics, technology and investment sectors that can contribute to regional development.  
•    The Board Member of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company continued: “The Free Zone, Special Economic Zone, logistics capacities and dry port are among the areas being developed within the Airport City and can help establish stronger links between economic activities and tourism.”   
•    He noted that tourism is an important component of the Airport City’s activities, emphasizing that airports can play a significant role in the tourism value chain by facilitating connections among transportation, accommodation, tourism attractions and various destinations.   
•    Batebi identified Pakdasht’s floriculture and horticulture sector as an area with significant potential for cooperation, stating that the county’s experience in floriculture, horticulture and green-space development could be utilized to enhance the Airport City’s green spaces and landscaping and expand cooperation between the two sides.
•    He noted that the objective is to move beyond mere introductions and through the organization of meetings and field visits, establish concrete areas of cooperation between Pakdasht and Imam Khomeini Airport City.  
•    Referring to Pakdasht’s tourism and economic potential, the Board Member of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company stated that the county’s proximity to Tehran and Imam Khomeini Airport City is a significant advantage that can be leveraged to introduce the county’s capabilities to travelers and investors.   
•    Batebi concluded by reaffirming that Imam Khomeini Airport City is ready to cooperate in identifying areas of mutual potential with Pakdasht, expressing hope that continued engagement would enable the Airport City, in addition to its transportation role, to play a more effective role in tourism development and promoting the region’s potential.
