According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of IKAC, Ramin Kashefazar, CEO of IKAC, announced the integration of customs codes across the Free Trade Zone in order to maximize existing capacities and eliminate unnecessary administrative procedures.
Kashefazar expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of Gholamhossein Nouhi, Director General of IKAC Customs and stated: “To enhance efficiency, streamline customs processes and ensure unified procedures, the customs codes within the legal boundaries of the IKAC Free Trade Zone are being consolidated.”   
He added: “The Pioneer Phase land customs gateway, the smart cargo warehouse and Customs Areas 1 and 2 - where cargo entry, processing and clearance take place, have entered full operational status and are currently functioning under the regulations of the IKAC Free Trade Zone.”     
Kashefazar further noted: “The dedicated customs code 10110 has been assigned to the IKAC Free Trade Zone for all clearance-related and other customs activities. Key benefits of this initiative include facilitating trade processes, offering incentives to economic actors and creating sustainable revenue streams through customs duties.”
IKAC Free Trade Zone, the only free trade zone in the country located within the mainland and in close proximity to the capital, offers unique opportunities for domestic and international investors.
Among its notable achievements are the establishment of the nation’s first Gold and Precious Metals Hall, the expansion of land customs facilities, the integration of the Free Trade Zone with the air customs gateway, the inauguration of the Medical Equipment City, the creation of a dedicated automotive customs unit and the acquisition of a commercial quota through MoU with other free trade zones, initiatives that have significantly contributed to IKAC’s non-aeronautical revenue growth.
