Imam Khomeini Airport City on the Path to Smart Passenger Processes
Data-driven Governance and Enhanced Passenger Experience on the Agenda of Imam Khomeini Airport City and Iran Airports Company

🔹 In a meeting held today, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with the presence of Mohammad Amirani, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and CEO of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company, and Ramin KashefAzar, CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City, the implementation of modern passenger and baggage handling processes and the optimal use of resulting data at the country’s airports were emphasized.

🔹 During the session, the CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City highlighted the importance of airport digitalization and the adoption of modern technologies to improve passenger and baggage processes, thereby enhancing satisfaction among travelers and business partners in the aviation industry. He also referred to the introduction of innovative airport solutions aimed at improving passenger experience by international aviation organizations, especially ACI and IATA.

🔹 Moving towards smart airports and creating a better travel experience for passengers through the use of advanced equipment, technologies and processes, such as biometric identification, reduced waiting times and ultimately data-driven decision-making using information generated from modern passenger and baggage handling systems, was one of the key objectives of this meeting. The session was attended by Abbas Eskandari and Yarandi, as specialized directors in the IT fields of both organizations, acting as the executive arm of this national initiative.
