🔹 According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, Ramin Kashefazar, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City, referring to the resumption of direct flights from Tehran to Tunis, stated: “As part of efforts to expand and strengthen the international flight network, the Tehran–Tunis air route has been reinstated in the operational schedule, with flights on this route operating from Imam Khomeini Airport City.”
🔹 He added: “Flight MRJ4843 to Tunis departed Imam Khomeini Airport City at 8:00 a.m. today, Saturday, September 5, 2026, and the route is currently operated weekly on Saturdays.”
🔹 Kashefazar noted that the flight had previously operated on Fridays, stating: “The last flight on this route under the previous schedule was operated on Friday, July 10, 2026. Following its resumption, the Tehran–Tunis route has been incorporated into the Airport City’s flight network with a new Saturday schedule.”
🔹 The Chairman of the Board and CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City emphasized: “Expanding flight destinations and strengthening air connectivity with different countries are among the Airport City’s priorities. The resumption of this route can contribute to facilitating passenger travel and strengthening tourism and economic relations between Iran and Tunisia.”
🔹 He stressed: “By leveraging its existing capacities and infrastructure, Imam Khomeini Airport City is pursuing the expansion of its international flight network and increasing passenger access to destinations around the world.”
