🔹 According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, Reza Anjomshoa, at a joint meeting with officials involved in the development of the Imam Khomeini Airport City Free Zone, referred to efforts to secure national budget allocations and stated that the funding required for the Airport City’s infrastructure and development projects has been pursued through annual national budgets. He expressed hope that, with the support of the relevant authorities, the matter would be finalized more rapidly.

🔹 Referring to measures taken to secure the Airport City’s water supply, he added that the necessary processes are underway to secure and transfer five million cubic meters of water from the Mohammadieh water pipeline. Once completed, the project will meet a significant portion of the Airport City’s water needs and create the necessary conditions for future activities and investment.

🔹 The Board Member of Imam Khomeini Airport City also emphasized the Airport City’s readiness to play an effective role in supplying and supporting the supply chain for essential goods, stating that one of the key objectives of the Airport City Free Zone is to develop exports and re-exports. He added that the necessary conditions have also been established to attract and expand domestic and international investment.

🔹 Emphasizing the importance of drawing on the experience of the country’s free zones, Anjomshoa stated that leveraging the experience of the country’s 18 free zones could help the Airport City gain a more precise understanding of its legal capacities and facilitate implementation and investment processes. He expressed the expectation that these experiences would be made available to the Airport City.

🔹 He also emphasized the importance of leveraging the capabilities of experts and knowledge-based companies in the development of the Airport City, stating that two key areas have been placed on the agenda: “Financing Management and Attracting Global Talent for the Development of the Airport City” and “Focusing on the Capabilities of Experts and Knowledge-Based Companies.” He added that leveraging the capacities of free zones in advancing these initiatives could lay the foundation for lasting transformation in the development of the Airport City.

🔹 Referring to the capacities created in the area of public transportation, the Board Member of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company noted that the development of public transportation and effective integration of the Airport City into the transportation network could play an important role in reducing traffic congestion, air pollution and environmental challenges in Tehran. He added that similar approaches have also been adopted at many major airports around the world.

🔹 Concluding his remarks, Anjomshoa emphasized the need to accelerate the issuance of permits and the completion of legal and security-related measures, stating that with the support of the responsible authorities and the acceleration of legal processes, the Airport City can realize its full potential and accelerate its development.
