Lufthansa Aviation Security Audit Meeting Held at Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC)
Lufthansa audit team expresses satisfaction with IKAC’s compliance with aviation security standards.

🔹️ According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC), an Aviation Security Audit was conducted by Lufthansa Airlines with the participation of the airline’s audit team alongside managers and experts from the airport’s Security Department, protective and security agencies, International Affairs and the Airport Operations Directorate. The meeting was held at the Security Directorate conference hall. 
🔹️ During the session, the Lufthansa auditing team reviewed the airport’s security processes across various areas and raised questions regarding access control for entry and exit gates, issuance and verification of access badges, baggage screening procedures, performance of security equipment and coordination among relevant agencies.
🔹️ Airport security representatives emphasized that all security measures fully comply with international standards. They explained that the Security Quality Control Committee, operating jointly with the IRGC and Police, oversees all monitoring, evaluation and coordination processes. It was further highlighted that access badges are issued strictly following comprehensive background checks conducted by the competent authorities.
🔹️ In the area of passenger baggage and belongings screening, it was reaffirmed that all procedures are carried out in accordance with international regulations and with the use of advanced and certified equipment.
🔹️ The Lufthansa team also visited the Airport Security Training Center (ASTO) and the personnel access badge issuance unit to observe the training programs for security staff and the operational procedures in place.
🔹️ In their final assessment, the Lufthansa representatives expressed satisfaction with the cooperation and coordination demonstrated by IKAC personnel, describing the interactions as highly valuable. They also expressed hope for expanded collaboration with Iran in the future.
