IKAC Strengthens Support for Passengers with Disabilities
Ramin KashefAzar, CEO: Preserving Dignity and Independence of Passengers with Disabilities Is a Priority

🔹According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs, and following the resolutions of the Deputy Council of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, today, Wednesday, 21 Aban 1404 (12 November 2025), Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC) held its second session focused on passengers with disabilities and special needs. The meeting took place in the Salam Terminal conference hall and was attended by Ramin KashefAzar, CEO of IKAC, representatives from the Ministry, the Welfare Organization and several IKAC managers.
🔹KashefAzar emphasized that ensuring the dignity and independence of passengers with disabilities is a key priority for IKAC and will remain a central focus of his leadership.  
🔹KashefAzar added that, in accordance with ICAO regulations, international airport standards and the guidelines issued by the Civil Aviation Organization, Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC) has already implemented a range of measures to support passengers with disabilities. These include dedicated parking spaces, accessible restrooms, water coolers, check-in counters, Braille-equipped elevator buttons and wheelchair services. He emphasized, however, that further improvements are still needed within the terminals and these services will undoubtedly be expanded as part of the upcoming terminal redesign project.
🔹KashefAzar concluded by urging all IKAC staff to actively pursue initiatives that enhance services for passengers with disabilities.
