• According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, Hadi Hatami, Head of the Airport Firefighting and Rescue Department, emphasizing the importance of maintaining operational readiness and aviation safety standards, stated: “To enhance flight safety and ensure the proper maintenance of airside infrastructure, vegetation clearing and maintenance operations across the airside areas of the Airport City are being carried out continuously according to a precise schedule.”
• Referring to today’s special operation, he added: “Following the necessary planning, a 20-member operational team equipped with the required tools and equipment was deployed to designated sections of the airside areas as part of a special vegetation-clearing operation, successfully completing the removal of unwanted vegetation in sensitive areas.”
• Hatami explained the objectives and requirements of the operation, stating: “Controlling and removing vegetation not only improves visibility and the physical condition of airside areas, but also plays a key role in reducing the risk of bird strikes and preventing animals from nesting and gathering in the vicinity of runways and taxiways.”
• The Head of the Airport Firefighting and Rescue Department, referring to continuous monitoring in this area, noted: “In addition to periodic exercises, a six-member operational team is permanently present in the airside areas on a daily basis to continuously monitor vegetation growth, control its spread and carry out localized clearing operations.”
• He concluded: “The continuation of these measures is part of the strategic program for the maintenance and operational readiness of the airside areas of Imam Khomeini Airport City. These measures are carried out under the direct supervision of the Airport Operations Directorate, with the aim of ensuring full compliance with national and international aviation standards.”
