• According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, Mehdi Zoghi, Director General of the Free Zone of Imam Khomeini Airport City, highlighting the zone’s potential in trade and logistics, stated: “Following the efforts made and with the support of the Governor of Tehran at the Cabinet and the Market Regulation Headquarters, the import of essential goods through the Free Zone of Imam Khomeini Airport City has been authorized until the end of the current year.”
• He added: “Given Tehran Province’s significant share as a destination for the country’s essential goods, enabling the import of these goods through the Airport City Free Zone can play an effective role in facilitating, accelerating and strengthening the supply and distribution of essential goods.”
• The Director General of the Free Zone of Imam Khomeini Airport City continued: “Leveraging the capacities of the Free Zone in this area, in addition to contributing to the timely supply of essential goods, will provide greater opportunities to utilize the logistics and trade capacities of the Airport City.”
• Mehdi Zoghi described the decision as an important step toward strengthening Imam Khomeini Airport City’s position within the country’s trade and logistics supply chain and noted: “Expanding the capacities of the Free Zone and facilitating trade processes can enhance the Airport City’s role in supporting economic needs and ensuring the supply of goods required by the country.”
