• According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, Captain Ramin Kashefazar, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City, highlighting the legal, logistics and trade capacities of the Airport City Free Zone, announced that, following sustained efforts, the import of essential goods through the Airport City Free Zone has been authorized until the end of the current year. He emphasized that this measure will accelerate the entry, customs clearance and distribution of goods required by Tehran Province while significantly reducing logistics costs.
Investment Attraction and Digital Transformation in the Free Zone
• Alongside facilitating the import of goods, Imam Khomeini Airport City Company has taken major steps toward attracting domestic and international investment. In this regard, the unveiling of “Investment Packages” on the company’s official website and the development of a “Comprehensive Investment Platform” for applicants are among the key development initiatives in the Free Zone and other designated zones. The platform has been designed to facilitate investment attraction and enhance transparency throughout the investment process.
Expanding Customs Operations and Vehicle Clearance
• The CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport City also highlighted the growing volume of imported goods and the successful customs operations carried out in the Free Zone. He noted that the customs clearance of vehicles imported into the country at customs offices within the Free Zone has been widely welcomed by business operators, demonstrating the effectiveness of the implementation process and the efficiency of the existing infrastructure.
