• According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, a meeting of the Passive Defense Committee of Imam Khomeini Airport City Company was held today, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the meeting hall of the Deputy Directorate for Development and Infrastructure, with the aim of outlining relevant policies and legal requirements and reviewing the executive plans for passive defense.
• Farooq Alikhani, Director General of the Office of Safety and Quality Assurance of Imam Khomeini Airport City, emphasizing the importance of passive defense in maintaining and ensuring the continuity of the Airport City’s activities, stated: “Strict implementation of passive defense requirements and guidelines plays an effective role in enhancing preparedness, protecting critical infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of the Airport City’s operational activities under various conditions.”
• He added: “The meeting reviewed passive defense policies and considerations, the latest officially issued guidelines and legal requirements, the Comprehensive Passive Defense Plan, and its implementation structure at the Airport City.”
• Alikhani continued: “Technical proposals related to studies on the siting of secure spaces, as well as the design and siting of shelters, were also reviewed to ensure that the necessary measures in this area are pursued through a coordinated approach and in compliance with legal requirements.”
• The Director General of the Office of Safety and Quality Assurance of Imam Khomeini Airport City concluded by emphasizing the need for greater synergy among different organizational units and the coordinated implementation of passive defense programs, stating: “Enhancing preparedness and anticipating the necessary measures are essential requirements for protecting infrastructure and ensuring the continuity of services and operational activities at the Airport City.”
