🔹 According to the Office of Communications, Information and International Affairs of Imam Khomeini Airport City, the security inspection program began today, Saturday, September 5, 2026, with an opening meeting attended by CAO inspectors, managers and experts from the Airport City’s Directorate General of Security, and other stakeholders involved in airport security.
🔹 Representatives of Airport Police, the Airport Protection Corps and the Airport Prosecutor’s Office also attended the meeting. The participants reviewed the areas covered by the inspection and emphasized the importance of coordination and synergy among the organizations responsible for airport security.
🔹 At the beginning of the meeting, Hemmati, Head of the Aviation Security Group at the Civil Aviation Organization, outlined the inspection program and its key areas, and expressed appreciation for the interaction, coordination and cooperation established among security stakeholders at Imam Khomeini Airport City.
🔹 Mostafa Mahdavi, Security Advisor to the CEO and Director General of Security at Imam Khomeini Airport City, welcomed the CAO inspection team and reaffirmed the Airport City’s full readiness to cooperate and support the inspection process.
🔹 Emphasizing the importance of continuous assessment of security requirements at Imam Khomeini International Airport, Mahdavi stated that specialized inspections provide an opportunity to accurately identify existing capacities, assess processes and address areas for improvement in aviation security. He added that the Airport City welcomes the professional and meticulous assessment of the Civil Aviation Organization’s inspectors.
🔹 He also emphasized the need for continued coordination and cooperation among all security agencies and relevant authorities based at the Airport City, noting that synergy among these organizations plays an important role in enhancing security, strengthening preparedness and safeguarding aviation and passenger processes at Imam Khomeini Airport City.
🔹 The inspection will continue across different areas of Imam Khomeini Airport City in accordance with the scope and areas specified by the Civil Aviation Organization.
